Shop Hop Trip

Sunday, November 16 was our wonderful Shop Hop/Road Trip, wonderfully planned and executed by Jill. Everyone had an awesome time!
Our first stop was at Quilty Pleasures in Geneva. This store is relatively new; it just opened in June, but they have a wonderful set up, and some beautiful fabrics. We were treated to coffee/snacks, a couple block tutorials, introductions to a few fun templates, and a complimentary holiday fat quarter AND a Free Spirit pen! Then we did some shopping!
Our next stop was at the Blue Water Grill in Skaneateles. Everyone enjoyed the meal and wonderful view of the lake! We all managed to stay away from the Bloody Mary Buffet!

After lunch we went to Patchwork Plus in Marcellus. This “local quilt shop” is one of the biggest. They have a ton of fabric! Not to mention tons of yarn, thread, books, notions AND they are a Bernina dealer. We were able to shop til we dropped and enjoyed a generous 10% off on our purchases for coming as a Guild.

Our last stop was at the Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center in Auburn. The current exhibit is the annual Quilts=Art=Quilts show, featuring 75 juried quilts from all over the world. There were many wonderful quilts on display; lots of inspiration and totally worth the drive!

Many thanks to the shops, restaurant and museum for welcoming us and to Jill for planning such a wonderful day!
